SETI and Messages from Space
Since the 1960’s SETI, (Search for Extra Terrestrial Life) has been scanning the sky, searching for messages that may have been sent in our direction from somewhere else in space. Until today no such message has been received but what exactly is SETI looking for?
The one language that would be understood by any advanced culture is mathematics, which would broadly conform to the same rules, no matter where it was used. SETI considers mathematics to be a universal language. I agree, but my search is not for intelligent beings from other worlds, rather it concerns who or what created Earth’s Moon. I know very well that messages have been left throughout history, so that humanity would eventually come to realise that the Moon is an engineered object. What I did not know until very recently is that those who built the Moon based their efforts on a simple mathematical certainty that could never be considered a natural happening. In other words, it could not have appeared by chance. Why Would They do This?
The answer is quite simple. It is not going to be easy for people, especially scientists, to accept that Earth’s Moon was deliberately engineered in order to make the Earth a haven for life – and ultimately us. The makers of the Moon must have been well aware of this, so they chose for their working matrix a language that scientists could not fail to understand - Mathematics. They based the Earth Moon system on a very simple mathematical fact but one that quite definitely shows both thought and intention. In full knowledge of this, no honest expert could possibly deny that the Moon was deliberately manufactured.
However, that wasn’t enough, because the makers of the Moon clearly understood how sceptical people would be. In addition to basing the size of the Moon relative to the Earth on this simple principle, they also reproduced the numbers created by the principle in a different form, once again clearly and quite definitely pointing to the engineered nature of the Moon. Look at the drawing to the left. It is a circle inscribed inside a square. The Earth and the Moon conform absolutely to this simplest of geometrical figures. Let us imagine that the green circle represents the Earth. If this was the case, then everything in the drawing that is not green and is shown in red, would represent the Moon.
The drawing is an expression of a mathematical fact. It represents the relationship between π (Pi) and the number 4. The symbol π appears time and again in mathematics and it has fascinated people for at least 6,000 years. π defines the relationship of the diameter of a circle to its circumference. The true definition of π cannot be discovered because it appears to go on forever. However, if we round it off at the fourth decimal point we could say that π is 3.1416. This is exactly what the builders of the Moon did – they considered π to be equal to 3.1416 – which is yet another way we know that the Moon cannot be a natural object. The Ultimate Truth
The relationship of π and the number 4 throws up a number of ratios.
π + 0.366 of π = 4. We could also express this as 27.322% of π added to π would equal 4. The relationship of the Earth and the Moon throws up the same ratios. Earth’s polar circumference, plus 0.366 of Earth’s polar circumference equals Earth and Moon size combined. As a result it would also be correct to say that the Moon is equal to 27.322% of the size of the polar Earth. Size and Mass are Not the Same Thing
The rate at which the Earth turns on its axis, and the rate at which the Moon turns on its axis and also circles the Earth are not related to the size of either the Earth or the Moon. These matters are a consequence of the physical mass of both bodies and the way those masses relate to each other through the force of gravity. For example, if the Moon was made of lead, it could be very much smaller but still have the same mass relationship with the Earth that it presently has.
Despite this difference between mass and size, the Moon takes 27.322 days, both to turn on its own axis and to travel once around the Earth. It might be a little difficult to understand but the Earth and the Moon have a mass relationship that is inextricably tied to their size relationship. In a world of natural happenings this should definitely not be the case. It can only happen because the Moon is not only a very specific size in comparison to the Earth but it also has a very specific mass in relation to that of the Earth. What this means is that the same numbers, 27.322, and 3.66 are just as appropriate to the mass of the Earth and the Moon as they are to the size of the Earth and the Moon and therefore appear time and again in all Earth Moon relationships. But it Wasn't Always that Way
Although the relative sizes of the Earth and the Moon have remained the same since the Moon appeared, the orbital relationships have changed beyond all recognition. Before the Moon began to influence it, the Earth turned on its axis extremely quickly – maybe in two hours! The presence of the Moon gradually slowed the Earth to its present spin. Very slowly the Moon began to move away from the Earth, all the time slowing the Earth’s spin and also its own spin rate. Only now, at this point in the Earth/Moon history are the spin rates of the Earth and Moon locked into the same number patterns that also appear in their size ratio – at a time when there is a species on the Earth intelligent enough to notice these similarities – humanity. This simply cannot have happened by chance – it was clearly intended by whoever engineered the Moon.
Could it be Part of God’s Plan?
This is a question Chris Knight and I asked ourselves time and again. At first it seemed possible, but given time to really think about the situation and to observe it close up, God’s place in this situation started to seem less likely. This is partly because the Moon was an afterthought – in other words it had a profound effect on an Earth that already existed. It seemed to us that an all knowing God would surely have created an Earth that did not need any sort of secondary body or afterthought in order to make it a haven for life.
In addition, it has to be admitted that all the numbers involved in the Earth Moon relationship are incredibly accurate to the π 4 relationship – but not absolutely so. Any form of engineering has tolerances, and in the case of the Earth and Moon, as an example of π 4 relationship, an accuracy of 99.4 – 99.9 % can be observed. It has to be remembered that the Moon is an extremely large object: it had to be created from scratch, both in terms of its dimensions and mass. It was necessary to plan not only what the Moon’s presence would achieve immediately but what would have happened to the Earth Moon system in 4.5 billion years. Bearing all this in mind, accuracy to the π 4 relationship of well over 99% is almost incredible – but it is not perfect, which we would surely expect from God. The whole situation definitely has the feel of extremely competent but not miraculous engineering. Is This Knowledge Known to Anyone?
On a balance of probabilities the answer has to be yes. There is one group of people in the world who already appear to understand the π 4 relationship of the Earth and the Moon, though how many members of the group actually recognise what is known is a different matter. The organization in question is that of Freemasonry.
In its ritual and its teaching Freemasonry often mentions ‘squaring the circle’. The general usage of squaring the circle relates to an ancient problem put forward by the Greek mathematician Euclid. Euclid challenged any mathematician, with just a straight edge and a pair of compasses to create from a circle, a square that would have the same area as the circle. However, this does not appear to be the squaring of a circle that Freemasons embrace. Freemasonic lectures point to a circle as representing the spiritual perfection of humanity, whereas the square around the circle represents that spirituality trapped within a physical form. Having learned over the years that practically nothing in Freemasonry turns out to be what it first appears, it seems evident that in Freemasonry, the 4 π relationship is seen as being extremely important. There is also a further clue that Freemasonry at some elevated level is aware of the very unusual relationship of the Earth and the Moon. Freemasonry’s Enduring Symbol
There is one symbol alone that is used to represent Freemasonry and which almost anyone would recognise immediately. This is the square and compasses. Despite first impressions, this symbol cannot relate specifically to Euclid’s squaring of the circle, because he specified the use of compasses and a ‘straight edge’, not a square.
Put simply, compasses draw circles, and squares draw squares. Therefore the square and compasses appears to relate directly to the relationship of π and 4, and therefore to the Earth Moon system. The observation is emphasised by the fact that the Moon is mentioned regularly in Freemasonic ritual and teaching. Another clue comes from the fact that there is invariably a ‘G’ between the legs of the compasses. Though often taken to represent God, this cannot be the case, because Freemasonry is international and ‘God’ is an English word. Rather it is likely that the ‘G’ truly stands for ‘Gaea’, which is Greek for ‘the Earth’. This would make great sense because in the π 4 comparison, it is the circle that represents the Earth, whilst the square represents the Earth and Moon combined. It seems to be the case that π, at 3.1416 and 4 are the most important numbers, not only for the Earth and Moon but also for humanity. Simple but Elegant. |
